TRIALS
Trials are carried out at my address in Reeth or I will travel to your home.
Distance travelled for me with be charged at 45p per mile for any mileage over 20 miles from Reeth.
During busy periods it might not always be possible to schedule trials at the weekend, particularly Saturdays. I will be able to advise you of my availability.
PAYMENT TERMS
Due to high demand a non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your bridal booking.
Once received, this will guarantee my availability on the agreed date and time for your wedding makeup service, without this your wedding date is not secured.
The deposit will be deducted from the final amount due on your wedding day.
The deposit is required the same day as booking to secure your booking, otherwise, your date will still be available to other brides.
Failure to make payment will result in cancellation of your booking.
CANCELLATION OF MY SERVICES
In the event of cancellation by me due to illness, injury or personal emergency, I will endeavour to find a replacement Makeup Artist / Hair Stylist. Full trial notes and any relevant pictures will be given to the replacement artist to enable them to recreate the look from the trial (if applicable). In the unlikely event that a replacement can not be found a full refund of balance paid will be given, but excludes any trial payments for services already carried out.
Cancellation of the booking by you: payments / deposits already made WILL NOT be refunded. In addition, If you cancel within 40 days of the wedding date, 50% of the final balance will be charged. If the cancellation is made within 7 days of the wedding the full balance will be charged.
LARGE BRIDAL PARTY / ASSISTANTS / ADDITIONAL FEES
When bridal party numbers are high, or timing is restricted, an assistant or second artist may be required. I will source the artist myself; they will be of a similar skill set, fully insured and experienced in bridal makeup / hair.
I will discuss this with you through the booking process, and the costs of the assistant/second Artist will be included in my quote.
Scenario example:
You have you and 7 bridesmaids needing my hair and makeup services for your wedding day, your wedding is at mid day, and you need everyone to be ready for 11.30am.
As standard I allocate minimum 2 hrs for you (hair & makeup), and an additional 1hr 15mins each bridesmaid (hair & makeup) therefore, if I was working alone that would mean starting at 1.30am!! Therefore, in some situations having an assistant or second artist to support me is required to ensure that everyone is ready on time.
SKIN ALLERGIES / SENSITIVITIES
Please inform me at the time of booking if anyone has any known allergies to any cosmetic products.
I am not liable for any allergic reactions.
Please notify me if anyone in the bridal party has any cold sores/contagious skin/eye infections on the wedding day.
I reserve the right to not use certain products on clients with cold sores/contagious skin/eye infections.
Own lipsticks may be necessary in the event of cold sores.
I will not be liable for any reactions to any of the products used.
I have the right to cancel your booking or refuse my services on anyone at any time, if deemed to be of a hygiene/health risk, for example cold sores/colds and any other contagious illnesses.
LIABILITY
I am not liable for any suppliers that I recommend. Any assisting makeup artists / hair stylists or other suppliers should have their own relevant insurance.
I have my own business insurance in place, please ask to see a copy if needed.
It is advisable for you to obtain wedding insurance.
IMAGES / SOCIAL MEDIA
I may photograph / video you at your trial and on your wedding day. The photos will be used for social media use and for my portfolio. Please state if you would not like any photos or videos to be taken/used for marketing.
OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATION
All travel costs will be included in your quote, however any venue over 2.5 hours drive (from Reeth, North Yorkshire) MAY require an additional payment for accommodation for me the night before your wedding. If this is needed I will inform you during the quote stage before you book your wedding with me.
FORCE MAJEURE
Neither party shall be held liable or responsible to the other party nor be deemed to have defaulted under or breached this Agreement for failure or delay in fulfilling or performing any term of this Agreement to the extent, and for so long as, such failure or delay is caused by or results from causes beyond the reasonable control of the affected party including but not limited to fire, floods, embargoes, war, acts of war (whether war be declared or not), acts of terrorism, insurrections, riots, civil commotions, strikes, lockouts or other labor disturbances, acts of God or acts, omissions or delays in acting by any governmental authority or the other party.
